Memorial website in the memory of your loved one
Her legacy
Rikki Leigh
A smile that could melt your heart.  The grace of a butterfly in flight.  A  heart that was kind and true. A daughter, a sister, a friend.  Your love was dancing, and you were so beautiful to watch. From the time you started at the ripe old age of three with Miss Virginia at Alpha Academy, I knew that you were destined to dance.  It was once you started at Dancing Plus that I knew their was no turning back.  I remember telling you that if you did not maintain good grades in school, dance would be the first thing to go.  I think that put the drive in you that you continued to show throughout the rest of your life.  Not only did you dance and cheer your way through your school career, you maintained a 3.5 or higher grade point average throughout Middle school, High school and College.
I remember the day you tried out for the Sundolls dance team at The Univ. of South Florida. You were so nervous, but somehow you had the grace to hold yourself together and perform with the utmost confidence.  The night that I watched you run out of the tunnel at Raymond James Stadium for the first time, my heart was in my knees.  As I watched you dance on the field for the first time as the youngest Sundoll, it brought back all the memories of the very first time you walked out on a stage when you were five. I think I was more nervous than you.  I sat in my chair and did the dance with you.  I counted in my head just to make sure you were keeping time. I had butterflies in my stomach, and I was just a spectator.  No matter 5 years old or twenty, I always watched you and saw something in you that was so very special.  You had the grace and the confidence of a dancer in all that you did, and that is how I will forever remember you.
So my daughter, continue to dance. I will still be sitting here in the audience, with the butterflies in my stomach, counting and keeping time for you, and doing the dance along with you.  I love you with every beat of my heart and every step in my dance. MOM
